Important Issues
in Utah

“A place as special as Utah needs to be protected. Let’s talk about real issues facing our state.”

Rachel Terry

  • Utahns want more accountability from the Attorney General’s Office. As Attorney General, I commit to establishing constituent services, a monitored tip line, regular town hall meetings and open access to my public calendar so you can easily observe my work and give feedback. I promise to focus on being your attorney — and nothing else.

  • It is the responsibility of the Attorney General’s office to investigate and prosecute those who prey on vulnerable populations. When it comes to the abuse and trafficking of children or the defrauding of our parents and grandparents, I draw a hard line and will relentlessly seek justice for victims. I will continue, without any conflicts of interest, to pursue lawsuits that hold social media giants accountable for harmfully targeting minors.

  • Local citizens know their communities best. As Attorney General, I will offer state resources to local and county elected officials to ensure Utah remains a safe place to live and raise a family.

  • The Biden Administration has created an immigration crisis that has made every state a border state. As Attorney General, I will work with Utah’s federal delegation and other Attorneys General to protect our border and create lasting solutions.

  • The federal government owns over 66% of land within Utah’s borders. Utahns – especially those in rural economies – are hurt by dysfunctional Washington policies that prevent much-needed rights of way and decrease income streams for schools. As Attorney General, I will work with our federal delegation and state leaders to exhaust every legal tool in the fight for state sovereignty.

  • Utah’s energy independence is tied to its land use. If the federal government dictates the use of the land, it also dictates the economic opportunities of everyday Utahns. As Attorney General, I will push back on restrictive land-use policies. With innovation, we can maintain our quality of life and enjoy our land for generations to come.
